    Is there any way to scale a widget other than overloading its paint event?

    By saying "scale", do you mean changing its size?
    resize, setSizePolicy funstions first come up to my mind.

    No, actually , i dont mean resizing... I mean scaling the widget and all its contents(perhaps other widgets..)..
