    Default TCP/IP Network Component?

I'm trying to use TCP\IP to have users connected to share data. The problem is I know very little about how to setup TCP\IP connections on systems across networks. Is there a component out there that helps make this easy?

There are domain / application specific ways to do. Do you want users to share data? or do you want applications to share data, there is difference between them.

Google for TCP/IP client server. Is there any specific question about TCP/IP? I suggest first understand how TCP/IP works (at-least at top level) then you can think of ways to use it.

I want programs to be able to send data to each other (users will choose what data should be updated periodically).
