Recompiling qt and qwt because of plugin problems

I want to recompile Qt and Qwt because Qt Designer does not recognize Qwt plugin. I think recompiling is the only solution left to try. However I have Qt Commercial with Visual Studio Integration. Can I download Qt Source code and compile it? Will VS integration still work?

I would suggest to try to recompile Qwt first. I don't see any need for Qt recompilation, unless you don't have the debug version.
