remote control support on Qt4.4 & Qt embedded.

Hi all,
i am very new to Qt & i am trying to develop an application using Qt 4.4 & Qt embedded.

can someone tell me, if a remote control (h/w) is supported by Qt ?
i am using Embedded Linux, i have a set top box having Mips processor. so when i develop an application i am able to watch the o/p on the T.V.

so i want to know as to how to add remote control support to the application.
does Qt provide with in built support for remote controller ?

please let me know, as its a bit urgent.
