QTextEdit + Text Vertical Center Alignment?

I set up a qtextedit box with user interaction turned off and I'd like to center the text vertically in the box but nothing I try seems to work. Not setAlignment on the editbox nor setStyle, or setting alignment on a blockformat and applying it to a cursor... Horizontal center works but not Vertical alignment. Could anyone tell me how to set it?

I have exactly the same problem!
