Findind difficulty in calling a function in QFile

Hi,

i am trying to call a function that is present in another program, i.e i am having a function in a.cpp and assume that the function name is "version(fp)",
and i am having the implementation of this function in another program b.cpp "version(FILE *ver)", and these are implemented in C by the use of file Concepts but know i need to replace this code by using the concept of QFile and i am unable to execute this Function perfectly.

So please help/guide me,
The QT Version that is using by me is 4.7.4

Why do you need to replace the function?

How does the code you have look like and what doesn't work?
