Did you people get the unsolicited mail? - "Release of Makedoc"

Dear all,

I got a mail from one Michel MEHL advertising his product Makedoc. While this author seems to situation with a reputable company and has apparently nicely apologised for sending unsolicited mail, I feel that first the practice of sending such mail is to be avoided and what is more important I want to know, how did this person get so many mail ids of Qt users? Could it be he harvested somehow from this forum? Or perhaps from our posts at Trolltech tasktracker or the Trolltech newsgroups?

Did anyone else here get mail from this person?

This shouldn't be possible. Most likely he got e-mails from Trolltech's mailing list or newsgroups.

Yeap I got it too, but I'm also subscribed to qt-intrest

I got it too, and I am also subscribed to qt- and qsa-interest. I don't think he got the addresses from the forum, it's much easier to grab them from the lists.

He got the addresses from the qt-interest mailing list. I use unique email addresses for almost everything, so I know where spam orginates =)
