When searching all files in project don't include binaries (e.g. .exe)

When asking QtCrator to search the entire project, is there a way to exclude binary files. I'm running on WIN 10 and have a .exe files as part of my project and it can be a pain when the exe contains tons of references to what I am searching. I tries putting theexe in a subdirectory, but that didn't help.
