If i have one model with many proxies and I want the selection between the proxies to be coordinated, how do i do it? I guess that setting the same selection model won't help since the proxy models have different model indexes.

No, unfortunately it is not an easy task to acomplish. You have to manually map selections between models using mapSelectionFromSource() and mapSelectionToSource().
