Thread: QT 4.4 beta1 x11 compile issues

  1. #1

    Default QT 4.4 beta1 x11 compile issues

    I'm compiling on X11, and I'm not sure what's going on. The only configure flag I'm using is -no-seperate-debug-info.

    Here's what's up:

    ../JavaScriptCore/bindings/qt/qt_runtime.cpp: In member function `virtual void
    KJS::Bindings::QtArray<T>::setValueAt(KJS::ExecSta te*, unsigned int,
    KJS::JSValue*) const':
    ../JavaScriptCore/bindings/qt/qt_runtime.cpp:1677: error: syntax error before `
    >' token
    gmake[1]: *** [.obj/release-shared/qt_runtime.o] Error 1
    gmake[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/qt-x11-opensource-src-4.4.0-beta1/src/3rdparty
    gmake: *** [sub-webkit-make_default-ordered] Error 2
    Line 1677 is:
    Qt Code:
    1. m_list[index] = val.value<T>();
    To copy to clipboard, switch view to plain text mode

    Looking at this, val is accessible, as should m_list and value should be too. I wonder if I'm missing a config flag, or if it's a system config issue.

    I'd suggest disabling webkit and forgetting about the problem unless you really need the module.

    Looks like an outdated compiler is used - gcc 3.4 is needed for kdelibs (and therefore for kjs from qt webkit), gcc 3.3 is only supported as long as no big hacks are needed to make it compile -> this means it could be broken for 3.3 sometimes but mostly get fixed
