Default Resizeable main window in Qt Creator?

Is there some trick to creating a resizeable main window in Qt Creator? It seems like it defaults to some kind of fixed grid layout, and then any layout I put inside (horizontal or vertical) doesn't resize with the window. Furthermore, the layout widget that comes inside the main window by default can't be deleted except by editing the .ui file. Am I missing something here?

Default I second this question ...

Although I really like Qt creator I find the fixed windows for layouts, slots, object views etc. far too small, awkward to use, and cramped. For me this seriously detracts from Qt creator's usability.

If it's possible to resize them I Qt creator's user experience would be much improved for me.

Default Windows will now resize, thanks.

As of the latest version of Qt Creator the creator windows can be resized. Excellent, that helps a lot.

Only ... after using the for awhile I still found them a little awkward. Might it be possible to also make those windows detachable and dockable?
