    Default Installation problem

    Hello,

I have been sent an evaluation copy of Qt4.6.0 commercial edition and having some problems installing it. The instructions on the web page say that the license file needs to be copied to the home directory on windows. However, the license information has been sent to me in an e-mail and not as a file. How do I get the license file ?

    Thanks

If you have the commercial edition of Qt, copy the license file from your account on dist.trolltech.com into your home directory (this may be known as the userprofile environment variable) and rename it to .qt-license. This renaming process must be done using a command prompt on Windows, not with Windows Explorer. For example on Windows 2000, %USERPROFILE% should be something like C:\Documents and Settings\username
Just try to copy the key in a text editor and save as C:\Documents and Settings\%UserName%\.qt-license (be sure, that no extension like *.txt added)
