Default Qt 4.6 on Ubuntu, no colors and aliased

Hi, I recently installed Qt 4.6 (build from sources), and afterwards the Qt applications are with no native (gnome) colors and the text is aliased. Also the graphics seem to appear as 8bit graphics. On Jaunty with Qt 4.5.2 the Qt applications were smooth and glossy.

I Attach image from QtAssistant and QtConfig so that you see what I mean.

Was the Qt 4.5.2 also compiled by you? I guess you maybe missed some X11 dev packages for more recent X11 extensions that are not mandatory so Qt compiled but disabled the use of that feature. For example, Xrender-dev could be such a missing x11-dev-package.
It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice.
