Default Qt Location Module for Symbian S60 5th Edition

    Hi,

I recently installed Qt 4.6.1 from the Nokia site.
I also installed Symbian S60 5th Edition SDK.
I also installed Carbide C++ IDE.

I am able to build and run the applications successfully.

I want to develop an application which utilizes GPS. For that I need to enable the "Location" module in Qt.

Could someone point me to any helpful article to do so? Or help me with the steps to follow?

I will really appreciate any help.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Shashi Ranjan.

    Hello Shashi,

The Location APIs for Qt are new. The Qt mobility project will eventually be baked into Qt. You can look at the Technology preview over here.

    Hello Shashi,

The other effort for mobile libaries is Nokia Forum's Mobile Extensions - http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.php/Mobile_Extensions

Thanks a lot for your reply. I appreciate that. Do you have info on how to enable all that in Qt?
