Default X11 include and lib paths

Hi...I'm new on this forum......and I trying to compile qt-4.6.2. However ./configure can't find X11 include and lib (that is, its not where it expects it. So it asks me to specify explicitly in qmake.config). I'm compiling on fedora 12 on 32 bits x86...And as a matter of fact I too can't find where it is on my system....I think this should be going to the fedora forum but I just decided to stop by, if perhaps any help. Thanks

install a package that is names something like xorg-dev

Usually includes are not installed by default, you have to manually install them. Maybe there is even a metapackage like "Xorg development" or "Graphical user interface dev" in the fedora package manager.
It's nice to be important but it's more important to be nice.
