Default Qt Creator in Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx

    Hi,

I've been using Creator on Ubuntu for a while now but in the latest version of Ubuntu Creator does not start properly. The first time you try and start it a qtcreator process is created, but the process list in the system monitor shows that it is waiting with the message "futex_wait_queue_me" in the "Waiting channel filed of the list and is using 95 - 100% of the CPU. If I then try and start another instance of creator, the second one will work properly and the first one can be killed and everything works fine. If I wait for a really long time, the first one will start by itself, but it's faster to start two and kill one.

Has anyone else seen this kind of behaviour, or know how to fix it?

    Cheers

    Hi!

It has been reported as a bug in the Ubuntu site. I past here the solution:

seems generating the help collection on startup is causing long delays. workarounds for the moment include either
    * disable the help system by running 'qtcreator -noload Help'
    or
    * leave qtcreator running until the help collection has finished generating (may take several minutes. the next start should then no longer have a delay
    Cheers!
