    Default Norton Internet Security

I recently purchased a 64-bit Windows 7 Home Premium system which came with Norton Internet Security installed. I ported over my Qt 4.4.3 installation and tried testing a known program. Norton flagged uic.exe, rcc.exe and moc.exe as security risks and DELETED them from the computer! I was able to recover by overriding Norton's objection to the programs.

Just a warning to others. I will be uninstalling Norton and installing AVG9.0 soon.

Overzealous internet security programs (namely: Norton) are known by many. I've seen norton delete compiler (well, linker) output before, assumingly because it created files that were executable (virus-like behaviour?)

I would have preferred that they told me there might be a problem with those applications and let me decide. Files were just deleted from 4.4.3/bin. When I ran mingw again I got strange error messages that a file in the directory I was running from wasn't there although it was. Took a while to sort out what the trouble was.
