Default Absolute Novice Desires Ability to Compile Program, but really just wants one feature

I have obtained the source code for the BrickStore application from the sites source code repository. The directions for compilation require QT 3.3.4 for Windows which is not freely available. Therefore I am unable to compile the application. In any case, I simply want to add one feature to the program, and as such, am willing to hire a programmer that has the ability to compile with QT 3.3.4 and QSA 1.1.3 to make this change for me. Is this notion plausible or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Not sure if you're barking up the wrong tree. I'm pretty sure your barking in the wrong forum though.
