How much time does it take to learn how to play the piano? It depends how gifted you are and how much you practice.
you keep mentioning that you come from a C/C++ background, but most of your previous posts such as:

show that you have very little knowledge about C++. This is not to discourage you, but you are going to have a hard time with Qt. You should first learn basic C programming.
