I've started writing a free chart library specifically for use in Qt applications and wish to get the word out. The library is an ongoing project and is being distributed under the GNU LGPL. Seems good. You sure get a price for the nicest looking website for a Qt class :-)

You could check out this older thread for some more info : Qt-Charts-API-create-static-and-animating-charts-for-your-application

One backdraw of your approach : it doesn't use the model/view approach. That seems like a missed opportunity.

@ marc - I'm definitely going to re-evaluate the library during the process of improving its flexibility (I wish to make it much more dynamic and am planning on drawing heavily on the Qt chart example http://doc.qt.nokia.com/latest/itemviews-chart.html ) so, if it turns out I had a flawed initial design premise, then I'm not beyond entirely rewriting the library If you have time to review the code and can think of a way I can improve the abstraction to make the transition to a proper model/view paradigm easier, then please let me know.

Update:

I've replaced the static "proof of concept" application with a more dynamic library. Still limited and not entirely well-tested, but hoping it could already be useful to some (see link in original post).

Slow-going, but much learning happening!
