Default Brilliant Python & PyQt Developer sought to turn a UI mockup into reality

We are building a Windows desktop application and are looking for a Python / PyQt developer to assist us, by working from the UI design template to create the final UI. This would include creating all of the components of the UI according to the functional specs, as well as creating and implementing the signals and slots that will connect to the back-end of the application. The final UI design template will be given to candidates upon successful application, or privately should the applicant request in order to consider the work involved.

Prospective developers should have experience with Windows desktop application development.

As part of the application process, applicants are invited to disclose their hourly rate. There is no right or wrong rate per hour. You will be paid your hourly rate should you be successful, regardless of what that rate is - we are looking for remarkable programmers and you will be rewarded as such.

The applicant would need to be able to start from approximately 15 Feb 2012 and the project would have to be completed by 1 March 2012 (2 weeks) - approximately. Variations of these dates can be discussed.

This is freelance work and candidates will obviously just liaise with us over mail – no travel required.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a close-knit team of great developers, who are building a great app. There is a very good chance for future work, should you wish to stay involved in the project.

Interested developers are invited to submit their details and/or cv to michael@kogmail.com. With your ‘application’ please include screen shots of previous PyQt work done and/or a portfolio of Python work that you would be proud to show.

This project may be challenging given our expectations of the applicant and the product – then again it may not – it all depends on your ability. Please also don’t apply if you think that you are not at least a 9/10 with Python and PyQt.

We are also prepared to pay a bounty for anyone who gives us the details of a brilliant Python / PyQt developer, and who we eventually decide to hire. Should you know such a prospective developer, you may seek their permission prior to us contacting them, and then kindly forward their contact details on to me at the email address provided above and we will contact them ourselves. It is not possible to suggest anyone who has ever posted on these forums before, nor anyone who has already contacted us directly.

Running the bounty in this way is required in order to prevent people from abusing the process.

The value of the bounty is $170.

Thank you for your time and look forward to hearing from you.

    Michael
