    Question How to install 4.8 on CentOS 6

    Hi All,

    I have to install 4.8 on CentOS and I downloaded qt-everywhere-src-4.8.5.
    Next step is ./configure which works right - or at least does something.
    After typing "make" I just get: "make: Nothing to be done for `first'."
    I also tried "make clean" first but it does no difference.

    Any suggestion whats going on?

    The easiest way is to install pre-built RPMs by Rex Dieter of Fedora KDE SIG.
    You need to add EPEL & 'kde' repos and then use yum to update qt (and KDE, if you wish).
