Why would you want to process mouse events in a QStyle? If you want to change the looks of a widget when mouse pointer hovers over it, enable the hover attribute for the widget within your style and it will receive paint events when mouse is hovering. Then you can detect that in your style by looking at the style option and act accordingly.
