    Because the commercial edition of Qt is now managed by Digia

    I always wonder, why would a company want to hide the price of their product until someone call them and the only reason is the ask for the price.

    Nokia were quite open about the price, Digia are apparently not. Maybe they want to give you a different price depending on how you want to use it (eg. what platforms you are intending to target), how many developers you have that are likely to use the SDK, etc. So you get a quote rather than a flat figure.

    In times of Trolltech the price was also not available on their webpages and one had to ask for it.
