I installed Qt 5 package on my windows laptop. It installed Qt creator along with it. I created a project and when I try to execute it(or may be after installation). I got an error which said missing MSVC**.dll. I installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2013. Now it says "Qt Creator needs a compiler set up to build. Configure a compiler in the kit options." I'm not sure how to configure it. If anyone can guide me it would be a great help. Thanks.

Did you read the section in the Qt Creator Help on "Configuring Qt Creator"? Everything you need to know is there.

    Hello d_stranz,

I was following this link "http://doc.qt.io/qtcreator/creator-tool-chains.html" for configuring compiler on windows 8. I installed MinGW, MSVC 2013 and added the kit and compiler. But still I'm stuck at the same error which reads ":-1: error: Qt Creator needs a compiler set up to build. Configure a compiler in the kit options.". Attached are the errors/alerts I'm getting on the compiler configuration window. Please help me with this. Thanks in advance.
