Environment variable

Hi all,
I am trying to use some environment variable in Qt's pro file.
But it seems that, the Qt program is unable to retrieve the value of enviroment variable( The application is to run in the LINUX(SUSE 10.2).
The same program was running fine on Windows, but not running on LINUX .

What env vars are you trying to set?
Search the forum, because others have had this problem.

I am using external libray environment variable.
Its CASROOT which is of openCASCADE graphical library.
