Default Qt Creator "Application Configuration is incorrect"

I've no idea when this started, but my copy of Qt Creator decided to go haywire today, telling me the application configuration wasn't any good. So I reinstalled it. Still no dice. So, I downloaded the installer again, figuring maybe my copy of the installer was borked somehow. Install goes fine, doesn't throw any errors, doesn't start yelling at me in Swahili or something. Does Qt Creator work now? No.

I still get the "application configuration is incorrect, reinstall" message. Can anyone help me figure this bloody thing out because I am royally confused...

    Some info:
    Running on WinXP Pro
    Qt installed with "qt-sdk-win-opensource-2009.03.1.exe"
We do what we must. Because we can.

    Hi,

I had an apparently similar problem and for me the fix was to run the vcredist_x86.exe (the visual studio redistributable stuff) from the Qt installation folder in "repair" mode. Hope it helps.

"application configuration is incorrect" is an error message from the Microsoft C runtime library. The solution has already been posted - run the Visual C++ Redistributable.
