The Developer Days in Munich and San Jose were a great success, giving users of Qt the opportunity to get first hand information about developments with Qt, training from Trolltech's partners, and the chance to get hints, tips, and advice about using Qt from core Trolltech developers. It also made it possible for us to get feedback about Qt 4 and hear what our users really want in future releases.
One suggestion that we received many times at each Developer Day, often from attendees who had traveled a long way, was the idea of smaller, regional events for developers in different parts of Europe and the United States to complement the main Developer Days in Munich and San Jose. Not only does this cut down travel time for attendees, it also means that our developers get the opportunity to sample different cultures and meet new faces.
We are currently planning two-day events, each with a day of intensive training followed by a day of seminars in a number of locations.
In the United States:
- Houston, Texas (March 30/31)
- Boston, Massachusetts (April 6/7)
In Europe:
- Cambridge, U.K. (April 24/25)
- Paris, France (April 27/28)
- Hamburg, Germany (May 8/9)
More up-to-date information about the agenda for each event, registration details, and directions to each location can be found on the Qt Developer Roadshow page on the Trolltech website: http://www.trolltech.com/events/qtroadshow Alternatively, contact the Roadshow team at qtroadshow2006@trolltech.com This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
